Tablet Compression Faults

Tablets are the most common drug dosage form and an ideal tablet should be free from any visual defect. Even though modern high speed tableting machines have relieved the operator of much of the manual control of producing tablets, tableting faults can still occur.

The purpose of this DVD is to explain the most common types of tablet imperfections that occur during the compression stage, i.e. lamination, capping, chipping, cracking, sticking, picking, binding and double impression; the likely causes and their remedy.
